Today was a weird day for me. It was a day I finalized a position I have been working in and on for 8 years. I have received an opportunity to grow and progress at my career, by accepting a role as an HR Manager. This is something I am really excited, and a little nervous about, but I know there is a lot of learning ahead and I know I can do it.
This morning my receptionist texted me and told me she wasn’t feeling well. As many of you probably know the flu bug is bad this year, and I told her to stay home and get feeling better. This would mean I would be covering the front desk for her. It has been a seral day for me to sit in the same seat I did 8.5 years ago. Again, I find myself reflecting on where I have come and looking forward to what is ahead. I decided today to take a min and just breath in the moment of gratitude. Gratitude for the love, the friendships, the kindness, the passion, the tears, the laughs and the heart break. Nissan will always be a special place to me! It provided me a safe place when I needed it. It introduced me to people who have pushed me and developed me to grow and progress. I know Nissan will be part of my future, but I know it will be different. I stand in gratitude today for the many lessons I have learned here and the space it has provided me to be where I am today!
Do you have a place where you find yourself reflective? Is there a place that moves you to gratitude? I hope so! I would love to know what that place is for you!
